Who are we?
Desire * Dedication * Determination = Success

We are FIRST Robotics Team 904 from Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are one of more than a thousand teams around the world participating in the FIRST Robotics program.
Team 904 is made up of students from Creston High School and surrounding schools, who are coached by volunteer mentors.
Once a year, FIRST announces a new game and gives teams six weeks to design and build robots for competition. Through this competition and the projects surrounding it, students learn the real world skills of mechanical and electrical engineering, computer aided drafting, web site design, and animation.
We give back to our community by helping at area organizations. We also work to increase the opportunities for others to enjoy the FIRST experience by assisting new FIRST Robotics teams and mentoring FIRST Lego League teams.
Team 904 is committed to academic achievement and provides a unique opportunity for students to learn many new skills outside of the usual classroom environment. FIRST gives us opportunity to interact with people of varying backgrounds. By learning new things and working with new people, we are better prepared for the future.
So What Is FIRST?
FIRST is a non-profit organization that aims to build awareness of the importance of science and technology. Every year, FIRST organizes a competition for high school teams across the country, in which teams are given six weeks to plan and build robots, which are then used in a series of tournaments. Much of the focus of this competition goes, not to who wins, but to teamwork and "gracious professionalism", how teams positively interact with each other, and the quality of each individual team's work.
