It's that time of year again, FIRST Robotics season. Our Web Design/Development Cell is working on a new website that will have a new layout, better organization, and a few new features. Some of those new features have already been partially implemented. We have our Calender up and have a list of Resources that you may find useful. And don't forget to check out this year's game!

We are Creston High School FIRST Robotics Team 904. We are one of more than a thousand teams around the world participating in the FIRST Robotics program. Team 904 is made up of students from Creston High School who are coached by volunteer mentors. This year, we are honored to have Team 1227, The Techno-Gremlins, as part of our team. The Parent Booster's organization of team events and fund raisers are an essential aspect to 904's success. And, of course, we are very grateful to all of our sponsors for providing us with funding and supplies.
Once a year, FIRST announces a new game and gives the teams six weeks for to design and build a robot for competition. Also, our team produces an animation and website. Through these projects, the students learn the real world skills of mechanical and electrical engineering, computer aided drafting, website design, and animation creation. We give back to our community by helping at area organizations. We also work to increase the opportunities for others to enjoy the FIRST experience by assisting budding FIRST Robotics teams and mentoring FIRST Lego League teams.
Creston 904 is committed to academic achievement (among other things). FIRST provides a unique opportunity for students to learn many new skills outside of the usual classroom environment. FIRST gives us opportunity to interact with people of varying backgrounds, people we may not normally interact with during our daily lives. By learning new things and working with new people, we are better prepared for the future.
