What We Do

FRC Challenge

2009 marks the 8th FRC challenge that Creston Robotics Team 904 has participated in. The FRC Challenge is an important part of what Team 904 is about. Students (and mentors) eagerly await the announcement of the new challenge, so they can begin to do what they love to do - to design and build a robot that uniquely reflects the engineering and technical assets of the team.

Community Outreach

During the off season (May-Sep), Team 904 is busy giving back to the community. From community events such as the 4th of July Parade, to supporting fundraising events such Fundango for Gilda's House, Team 904 is there to offer a helping hand.

Professional Development

As a member of Team 904, students have ample opportunity to learn technical skills such a programming, electronics, and operating some pretty impressive machines. But there are other skills such as public speaking, presentations, brainstorming that better prepare them for a professional career - whatever vocation they choose.

Fundraising

Running a robots team is quite expensive. The team shares in the financial support of the team through fundraising activities sponsored by the Parent Booster Club. These fundraising activities account for almost 1/2 of the annual budget.
